The background

The House was completed five years ago, with great attention to details and materials, for a family that fell in love with the calm and the light of this region.

It has featured in fashion shoots, furniture and decoration catalogues, but it is the first time the owner has made it available for holiday rental.

The purity of the space is the result of a clear desire to use only a few natural materials throughout the house.

The floors are laid through and through only with large 80x80cm squares of Benissalem stones which are found as well in the bathroom and the Italian walk in showers. All internal walls and high ceilings are plastered and painted in white.

The high volumes and the bespoke floor to ceiling doors and sliding windows that disappear into the walls, confer a sense of fluidity bridging the outside with the inside.

The lush Mediterranean garden can be admired from all angles and offers natural shadow for lunches al fresco, to relax care free or to read a book, nestled in a hammock or comfortably lying on a wooden deck chairs, an Indian day bed or a sofa.

The garden is not just an haven of peace but rewards you throughout the years with a range of seasonal fruits (oranges, mandarines, lemons, loquats, kumquats figs, almonds, madronios) and vegetables (tomatoes, pimientos, salads, spinach, calabacin, zucchini) as well as herbs (rosemary, basil, parsley, mint).

The gifts of nature find their ways to the modern open plan kitchen and its induction cooking island leading onto a terrace, blessed by the sunset and overlooking the 16 meters long pool, showcasing a large built-in barbacoa to grill some nice meat using dry wood from the property and eat on a wide custom made table accommodating 8.

Pétanque afficionados can enjoy a game on the purpose built pista next to the pergola while indulging a few drinks, others will sip their poison lounging on a sofa watching the sun go down.

Built to be enjoyed all year round, thanks to floor heating throughout plus two large firplaces and air conditioning in the four bedrooms, should the gentle breeze fails its duty during the hot summer months.


On the first floor, the master bedroom wing is 11 meter long including the en-suite italian shower room, and boast ceilings as high as 5 meters, a four poster Indian bed with 200x200cm mattress, built-in wardrobe and a private 40m2 terrace with view as far as Cabrera island.

Two further bedrooms (one with 2 standard single beds 90x200cm, the other with 1 large single bed 140x200), both with their own wardrobe and ceilings as high as 5 meters, are sharing their own private terrace and an Italian walk in shower.

A large landing area, laid with Berber cushions, serves mostly as a kids retreat to enjoy social games.

The ground floor is mostly an open plan area, with many direct access to various terraces, encompassing entrance hall, living room, sitting room, dinner room and kitchen.

The only closed rooms are the visitors’ washroom, the utility room and the additional bedroom and TV room with en-suite bathroom.

An additional separate one room building with its own shower room could be rented to accommodate family traveling with staff or larger party. To be negotiated separately.

Tactically located to access, within a 20 minutes radius, some of the nicest sandy beaches or coves on the island, stretching from Es Trenc in the South to Cala Sanau in the East or to explore the adjoining hills leading to San Salvador Convent offering breathtaking 360 view of Mallorca.

For nature lovers, the Parc Natural of Mondrago is only a short stroll by bicycle and the secluded Island of Cabrera can be reached by boat from nearby Porto Petro.

The picturesque village of Santanyi, famous for its by-weekly market, is only a few km away and its church is a constant fixture of the panorama enjoyed from the many parts of the house.

Palma is only a 40 minute drive and one can experience Mallorca's diversity via short journeys across the Island.
