situated at the back of essaouira’s fortified medina with the food markets pretty much on your door step and approximately a 10 minute walk to essaouira’s long sandy beach this organic modern living space has been moulded around ancient sandstone columns and thuya wood ceilings. add a mix of eclectic colorful lighting and furnishings and the perfect moroccan villa is waiting for you.

Spaces

the house is built around a central courtyard and comprimises 4 storeys. on the ground level there is a library connecting to a chill out room with fire place. out in the courtyard is a fountain and rest area. on the 1st floor there is an open plan fully equipped kitchen/diner at one end, a living space with stereo in the middle and two fire places and a moulded bedroom and shower room towards the back. the 2nd floor has two double bedrooms with pod fire places in each. inbetween the bedrooms is a curved bathroom with skylight. you walk straight out onto a large terrace which has a very rustic sun shade area with seating, next to this are a couple of sun beds and a hammock. you go up again to a double bedroom with glass fronted doors folding out onto a private terrace with a sink moulded into the wall. there is a seating area up here too.

Children & elderly

the multiple levels mean that it is not suitable for elderly, but should not be a problem for those with children.

Provided

the rate includes: the house to be cleaned every day during your stay. a fruit basket. tea, coffee, water, milk etc for your arrival. complimentary locally made argan soap. firewood. there is also a huge selection of books, c.d’s and board games for your use while staying. complimentary babouche (moroccan slippers) for each client (staying for a minimum of 1 week). bose speakers for all those who have an ipod and wireless internet access for those who want to bring their laptops. bath robes and towels are also provided {please note we do not supply beach towels. an information pack with a restaurant guide, information on hammams, horse riding, quad biking etc. there is a phone in both houses for your use. help and advice for anything you may need is always given.

EXTRAS: For around £10 per head Amina will cook in the evening a traditional Moroccan meal and bring it to the door. Transfers to and from Marrakech can also be arranged.
